Hello! This is Atami Bay Resort Korakuen!
Autumn has come, and the sea breeze has become pleasant. On sunny days, the sky is clear and we can feel the arrival of autumn ^^)
We have previously introduced the Atami Ropeway as one of the recommended sightseeing spots in Atami ( click here to read our previous blog!). Speaking of Atami, besides sightseeing, you can’t miss the hot springs!
After a day of sightseeing and a refreshed mind, it is essential to refresh the body!
(By the way, I am of the school of thought that after enjoying sightseeing to the fullest, I would like to end the day with a hot spring bath. lol)
Tired of walking after a day of sightseeing? OCEAN SPA Fuua, a Day-trip hot spring facility, is the perfect place for you!
One of the largest Day-trip hot spring facilities in Atami, it is packed with healing spots to relieve fatigue!
I would like to introduce you to OCEAN SPA Fuua, but since there is so much to introduce, I will divide it into three blogs: “Spa Zone”, “Atami Living”, and “Lowru Camp”!
So this time, I would like to introduce the “Spa Zone” where you can enjoy mainly the main hot springs!
OCEAN SPA Fuua’s spa zone is divided into a total of six types: open-air standing bath, open-air bath with free-flowing hot water, indoor bath with a view, hydrogen spring, cold water spring, and sauna with a view!
First and foremost, the centerpiece of OCEAN SPA Fuua is the 25-meter-long “open-air standing bath!

Because it is a standing bath, it is 110 cm deep, and you can enjoy a floating sensation as if you were one with the sea, as if the edge of the bathtub is visually connected to the surface of the sea!
The bathtub, in which visitors soak comfortably while standing, commands a panoramic view of the city of Atami and the horizon of the Sagaminada Sea!
During the day, visitors can enjoy the magnificent seascape of the Sagaminada Sea; in the evening, the orange sky and the sea blend together, creating a beauty that quietly relaxes the mind; and at night, the shimmering cityscape of Atami can be seen, creating a quiet time that is different from the daytime.
(The bathtubs are lit up at night and are very beautiful!)

No matter what time of day you visit, you will enjoy a special healing experience where you can become one with the natural landscape…!
In the open-air area, in addition to the open-air standing bath, there is also a “free-flowing open-air bath” where you can sit and relax.
(Of course, the view is excellent here, too!)

This bathtub has a luxurious hot spring water pouring out of the mouth of the bathtub(^-^)
The indoor baths also have different atmospheres, and the first that catches the eye is the “Gazen Naikyu” (indoor bath with a view)!
This indoor bath with a view of the Sagaminada Sea from the window allows visitors to enjoy a pleasant bathing experience regardless of the weather or season!

The open-air baths have a great sense of freedom, with a nice sea breeze, but the indoor baths have a different quality….
I personally like the feeling that the bathroom is warm and humid with the heat of the hot spring.
In addition, there is also a “hydrogen spring,” which is also somewhat rare!

The addition of hydrogen to hot spring water increases the heat retention effect more than usual, and is therefore recommended for people with sensitivity to cold!
It also seems to be effective for smooth and beautiful skin and recovery from fatigue!
It’s a great tub, especially for women…!
In addition to the hot spring baths, there is also a “sauna with a view” where you can look out over the ocean through the indoor glass…. What a luxury!

We hope you will enjoy the sauna with a view of the ocean, but if you are not a fan of saunas, don’t worry! But don’t worry if you’re not a fan of saunas!
The sauna at OCEAN SPA Fuua is not a high-temperature sauna like a dry sauna, but is set at a lower temperature, so it is recommended for those who may not be so good at saunas!
Even though the temperature is low, you can sweat well (;^Ω^)
Of course, after the sauna, there is also a “cold spring” water bath available for cooling down!
Cool down with a beautiful view, and you’ll be in the best shape ever _(:3″∠)_ lol.

This is a brief introduction to the “Spa Zone” at OCEAN SPA Fuua!
All of the hot springs are “calcium sodium chloride springs,” which are salty and a bit salty!
The water does not easily cool down after taking a bath, and the body stays warm even after getting out of the bath.
I’m thankful for the cold winter months….
There are many other contents such as “Atami Living” which is recommended to rest after taking a bath and “Lowryu Camp” which is one of the main attractions.
There are many more contents, so I will introduce them in separate blogs!
