Hello! This is Atami Bay Resort Korakuen!
It’s starting to feel like fall, isn’t it…! I think this is the perfect time of year for traveling!
Are any of you making travel plans?
When you go on a trip, you want to try local specialties and enjoy dishes you don’t usually get to eat… It’s only natural to want to treat yourself a little more than usual while traveling, isn’t it? (^^♪
Whenever I see something that looks delicious while traveling, I can’t help but think, “Since I’m here anyway, I’d like to try this too…” (laughs)
At the Atami Korakuen Hotel, we offer a variety of dining options, including buffets and kaiseki cuisine, designed to delight our guests.
In this post, I’d like to introduce some of our recommended items from the dinner buffet!
Our hotel’s buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, but the best part is being able to freely choose from all kinds of food, right? lol
(By the way, since I’m here, I’m aiming to try every single item! (`・ω・´))
Now, for those looking to add a little something special to their buffet experience, the Atami Korakuen Hotel’s dinner buffet is currently offering “A5-Grade Japanese Black Wagyu Yaki-Suki” (limited to one plate per person) as a “special dish” available in addition to the regular buffet—exclusively from October through November!

The price is 2,750 yen, including tax. (Please place your order with a staff member at the buffet venue.)
Made with A5-grade Japanese Black beef, this slightly indulgent dish is sure to enhance your dining experience when added to your usual buffet!
(※Please note that this menu item is not all-you-can-eat; one plate is served per person, so please keep this in mind when ordering.)
Well, as for that “Grilled Sukiyaki with A5-Grade Japanese Black Beef,” I actually had the chance to try a sample…
First, let me tell you about the flavor—which I’m sure you’re curious about.
For this grilled sukiyaki, we’re using “New Summer Ponzu” for seasoning.
When people hear the term “Kuroge Wagyu,” some may imagine the sweetness of its fat and its rich, savory flavor.
Of course, you can fully enjoy the rich umami flavor unique to meat, but the refreshing tartness of New Summer Ponzu adds a crisp, clean finish!
You can savor the delicious flavor of the meat without it feeling heavy in your mouth, so you’ll find yourself reaching for another bite before you know it ( *´艸`)
And there’s one thing we’d love for you to enjoy with us: “Atami Onsen Eggs”!

When you dip the grilled sukiyaki in a hot spring egg, the egg’s creaminess adds a whole new dimension of flavor. The rich depth of the hot spring egg further enhances the meat’s umami.
And here’s another way to enjoy it that I’d like to recommend…
That means enjoying it with a drink! (*We cannot serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 20.)
At the dinner buffet, you can also enjoy an all-you-can-drink selection of alcoholic beverages.
This is just my personal opinion, but I recommend pairing “red wine” with Yaki-Suki!
Take a sip of red wine while savoring the rich umami and deep, full-bodied flavor of Kuroge Wagyu beef. With the refreshing tang of New Summer Ponzu, you can enjoy the meal with a variety of flavor profiles♪
Thinking about how to pair food and drinks is one of the joys of dining, isn’t it? (^^♪
Of course, we recommend it even for those who don’t drink alcohol! (It goes great with plain white rice, too…(*´ω`*)) Why not add a little something special to your usual buffet when dining with family and friends?
In addition, we’re currently offering a package that includes this “Grilled A5-Grade Japanese Black Wagyu Sukiyaki” as an extra dish during the dinner buffet as part of your stay!
“Since we’re staying in Atami anyway, we’d like to treat ourselves to a slightly more luxurious meal.”
“We’d like to add some special dishes to our usual buffet.”
It’s perfect for people like that, too! ♪
“Grilled Sukiyaki with A5-Grade Japanese Black Beef,” available for a limited time from October through November.
This is a luxurious dish that lets you enjoy both the refreshing flavor of New Summer Ponzu and the mellow richness of Atami hot spring eggs.
When you visit the Atami Korakuen Hotel, be sure to try it along with the dinner buffet!
We look forward to seeing you all there (^^♪)
