Hello! This is Atami Bay Resort Korakuen!

Before I knew it, it was already July.
As we reach the halfway point of the year, I find myself thinking, “Has half the year already gone by!?” every year around this time _(:3」∠)_

When you think of July, there are plenty of events unique to summer—like the beach, fireworks, and festivals—but one thing we mustn’t forget is “Tanabata,” right? (^^)
I’m sure many of you have memories from your childhood of writing wishes on strips of paper or making bamboo decorations at school or kindergarten, don’t you?

If you could have just one wish granted, what would you ask for?
…When you’re asked something like that, it’s surprisingly hard to come up with an answer right away, isn’t it? lol

It makes me feel nostalgic for when I was a kid and used to write wishes like, “I hope I get faster at running” or “I hope I get better at video games,” haha.

As we grow up, we have fewer opportunities to write wishes on strips of paper, but we still have the same kinds of wishes—like “May I stay healthy this year” or “May my whole family stay happy”—don’t we?

To celebrate Tanabata, we’ve once again put up Tanabata decorations inside the Atami Korakuen Hotel!

We’ve set up a bamboo tree in the lobby and a corner where you can freely write your wishes on strips of paper♪

Please write your wish here and tie it to the bamboo ( *´艸｀)

Every year, when I look at the wishes you’ve written,

“May you enjoy your family vacation.”

“May you stay healthy.”

“I hope you’ll come visit Atami again.”

Each one is imbued with a lovely wish, and just looking at them makes me feel all warm inside (*´ω｀*)

Some of the requests are so unique they make you chuckle—it’s one of the segments the staff looks forward to every year♪

I’d be delighted if you could write down your thoughts from that time and your hopes for the future, and make this a cherished memory of your trip.

Not only our overnight guests but also day visitors are welcome to participate, so please feel free to write down a wish when you visit!

In addition to the front lobby, “Koubai-tei” and “OCEAN SPA Fuua” are also decorated for Tanabata, so please be sure to come check them out! ♪
