Summer vacation is over, and we’re starting to feel the first signs of fall.
How did you all spend your summer this year?

The Atami area was a huge hit again this summer!
With the beach season in full swing, many people visited beaches such as Atami Sun Beach, which were bustling with visitors enjoying the ocean.

In addition, the shopping district around Atami Station was bustling with people; visitors were enjoying street food and browsing for souvenirs, creating a lively atmosphere perfect for summer vacation!

We were pleased to welcome many guests at the Atami Korakuen Hotel and OCEAN SPA Fuua as well.
Seeing everyone having such a good time made this a wonderful summer for all of us on staff, too (^^)

I feel a little sad that summer vacation is over, but from now on, the heat will gradually subside, and the weather will become more pleasant.
There are more ways to enjoy Atami now that summer is over, so please be sure to come visit Atami during this season, too! ♪

(I’ve been thinking that I’d like to go on a trip somewhere when things settle down a bit… ( *´艸｀) Just relaxing at a hotel… I think that kind of trip would be nice, too.)

By the way, everyone! This might be a bit out of the blue, but when you arrive at a hotel, where do you look first?

I’m sure you have a lot of questions about the hotel’s atmosphere, the guest rooms, the restaurants, and so on. The lobby and lounge are definitely among those things, aren’t they?

Arriving at the hotel to relax, or taking a short break while waiting to check in…

I think the atmosphere of the lobby and lounge is also one of the key factors in making your hotel stay enjoyable.

Personally, if the atmosphere in a hotel lobby or lounge—or at a travel destination—is nice, I can’t help but think, “I’m glad I chose this hotel,” just because of that. lol
(I’m so simple… lol)

When you’re staying at a hotel, you actually spend a surprising amount of time in the lobby and lounge—not just in your room or the bath.

That’s exactly why I feel that having a space that fits the atmosphere of this place makes my stay just a little more comfortable.

Speaking of the chairs inside the building, we have a little news to share this time!

We’ve recently updated the sofas and tables in the Excellence Lounge and the front lobby, giving them a whole new look and feel!

The atmosphere at both places has changed completely from what it used to be, so I’d like to introduce each one to you this time (^^♪)

First up, the Excellence Lounge!

For those of you who are wondering, “What exactly is the Excellence Lounge?” I’ll give you a brief introduction.

The Excellence Lounge is an exclusive lounge available only to guests staying on the Excellency Floor.
(Excellence Lounge Hours: 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.)

It’s a rather special space that isn’t open to the general public.

And one of the unique features of this lounge is that you can check in right here!
(Please note that check-in at this lounge is available until 5:00 p.m.)

Instead of waiting in line at the front desk when you arrive at the hotel, you can check in at your leisure while sitting on a sofa in the lounge.

From the very start of your trip, we’ve designed it so you’ll feel a special sense of something a little different from the usual.

Plus, you can enjoy a variety of drinks and light snacks in the lounge, so we highly recommend taking a break and relaxing there after you check in!

The sofas and tables in the Excellence Lounge have been replaced!

The new sofa features a stylish, upscale design. With a color palette centered on gray and blue, it creates a calm atmosphere while still giving off a sophisticated vibe (｀・ω・´)

Now that I’ve actually put it in the lounge, I feel like the atmosphere has changed quite a bit from before.

We hope that guests staying on the Excellency Floor will enjoy this round in whatever way they please.

Next, let me introduce the front lobby!

Since it’s the first place where guests are welcomed upon arriving at the hotel, the front desk lobby is one of the busiest areas in the hotel, isn’t it?

It’s a really lovely spot with a great view of the Atami cityscape and the ocean from the window!

We’ve also renovated the sofas and tables in the front lobby! The design features a resort-like atmosphere with a white color scheme as its base.

When you think of Atami, it’s got to be the ocean!

To complement the bright and open atmosphere of the lobby, we’ve selected furnishings that evoke a resort-like feel. In addition to sofas, we’ve stocked a variety of chairs, so we hope you’ll choose a spot to sit that suits your mood (*´ω｀*))

Since you’re here anyway, why not try sitting in a few different chairs in the lobby and see if you can find your favorite spot!

Take a short break before check-in or after check-out, meet up with someone, or just relax and chat with your companions…

I imagine everyone has their own way of spending time in the hotel lobby.
