Actually, camping is one of my hobbies, and I go quite often. When you hear the word “camping,” what comes to mind? Tents, scenic nature views, outdoor cooking—there are so many things, right?
(I went camping just the other day! Spending time in nature was the best…(^^♪))
Of all these activities, my favorite is sitting by the campfire. Listening to the crackling sound of the wood burning and gazing absently at the flickering flames somehow calms me down. I never get tired of watching the flames change shape little by little, and before I know it, quite a bit of time has passed.
Usually, I tend to be busy checking my smartphone or thinking about what to do next, but one of the charms of sitting by the campfire is being able to deliberately enjoy doing nothing. I listen to the sounds of nature and fully savor the slow passage of time (*´ω｀*)
Spending time like this makes me keenly realize just how important it is to step away from daily life for a bit and take time to enjoy myself at my own pace (*^-^*)

The Excellency Floor is a special guest room floor located on the upper levels of the Tower Wing, from the 15th to the 17th floors.
In fact, guests staying here enjoy some wonderful perks!
In this post, I’d like to share five things that make the Excellency Floor so special (´ω｀)
① Relax and check in at the exclusive lounge♪
First up is the “Excellency Lounge,” exclusively for guests staying on the Excellency Floor.
It’s one of the special services you can enjoy as soon as you arrive at the hotel.
In this calm and relaxing space—separate from the regular front desk—you can take your time completing the check-in process.
The lounge features sofas in shades of gray and blue, creating a high-quality, relaxing atmosphere. We also offer drinks and light snacks, so you can relax and take your time while you complete your procedures♪
It’s nice to feel a little special right from the start of your trip, isn’t it?

When it comes to hot spring trips, it’s all about the baths!
Guests staying on the Excellency Floor can enjoy the private open-air bath “Excellence Spa.”
We offer three types of baths, each with its own unique charm.
The charm of a private bath is that you can enjoy a relaxing hot spring experience with your loved ones—whether it’s family, a couple, or friends♪
Now, let’s take a look at the three baths one by one!
[Ichi-no-Yu “Ōkusu”]
First up is Bath No. 1, “Ookusu.”
This bath features a warm, inviting space that makes the most of natural wood.
The bath features a cypress tub, allowing you to relax and enjoy a leisurely soak while feeling the warmth of the wood.
The post-bath relaxation area is also spacious, so you can take your time and relax after getting out of the bath—that’s part of the charm! ♪
After soaking in the hot springs to warm up, take a break in the relaxation area…
Why not forget the hustle and bustle of daily life and spend some time relaxing both your mind and body?
This bath is highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a peaceful moment while surrounded by the warmth of wood (´ω｀)
[Second Bath: “Kōseki”]
Next up is Bath No. 2, “Kōseki.”
This bath is characterized by a dignified, serene atmosphere that makes use of stone and aged wood.
The stone-style bathtub offers a different atmosphere from Bath No. 1, “Okane.”
Furthermore, the post-bath lounge features reused beams from a traditional Japanese house, creating a space that evokes a sense of nostalgia.
The textures of wood and stone blend together to create an atmosphere that makes you want to relax and unwind♪
It’s fascinating how even within the same category of private open-air baths, the impression can change completely just by altering the design.

[San no Yu “Shirasuna”]
Last but not least, we’d like to introduce San-no-Yu “Shirasuna.”
This bath is designed to evoke the feeling of lying on a sandy beach, creating a gentle, enveloping space.
And what sets it apart from the other two baths is that it combines Atami hot spring water with hydrogen and micro-nano bubbles!
You can enjoy a bathing experience that’s a little different from your usual hot spring visit.
We’ve also set up a spacious cooling-off area right next to the bath.
After soaking in the hot spring, take a short break and then relax at your own pace… Being able to spend your time at your own pace is another great perk! ♪

“Okanusu,” where you can feel the warmth of wood; “Hikariishi,” with its soothing atmosphere created by stone and old wood; and “Shirasuna,” where you can enjoy a hydrogen bath.

On the Excellency Floor, guests staying in an Excellency Room may use the private open-air bath once per night, while guests staying in an Excellence Large Room may use it twice per night.
*The private open-air bath is available for 45 minutes (60 minutes during certain time slots).

③ Guaranteed rooms on the upper floors (15th–17th)!

The Excellency Floor consists of upper-floor guest rooms located on the 15th through 17th floors of the Tower Wing.
One of the highlights is being able to relax in your room while enjoying the views unique to these upper floors.

Enjoy the visual presentation, savor the aromas, and then taste the flavors… You’ll experience a dining experience quite different from a buffet.
